This guide will help you install the AYDO Desktop application on your macOS and connect Zigbee devices via Zigbee2MQTT.
AYDO provides a convenient platform for managing smart devices, and Zigbee2MQTT allows integration of a wide range of Zigbee devices with your home network. Support for other IoT communication protocols is planned for the future.
Before you begin, make sure you have all the necessary hardware and software. You will need: a working Mac with an M-series processor, an Ethernet cable or Wi-Fi connection, and a Zigbee coordinator.
1) Apple device with an M-series processor. 2) Wireless network (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz IEEE 802.11b/g/n/ac) or Ethernet connection. 3) Zigbee coordinator (e.g., Sonoff ZBDongle-E/P).
1) Make sure your computer is connected to the internet. 2) Connect the Zigbee coordinator to your computer. If necessary, install the appropriate firmware for the device.
1) Go to the following link: AYDO app – the download will start automatically. 2) After downloading, move the application to the Applications folder.
3) The application is installed and appears in Launchpad
1) Connect your Zigbee coordinator to your computer. 2) Open the application, complete the registration process, and log in to your account. 3) Go to the "Devices" page — your connected hub and its identifier will be displayed there.
4) Click on the Add connectivity device button and select Zigbee Coordinator
